About the Event
This circle offers a supportive space to share experience and come together with other women in your community. In the same way that women have gathered in circles for thousands of years.
What you can expect in our circle:
- Grounding Meditation
- Introducing a theme
- Sharing Circle - a chance to share how you are (and this could also be in relation to where you are in your menstrual cycle or perimenopause/menopause/post menopause if you feel to)
- Self Massage
- Cacao (or herbal tea)
- Guided Relaxation (yoga nidra)
The principles that underpin the circle are:
Mutual Respect - Kindness - Deep Listening - Avoiding fixing - Power in Community
These circles are held by Anna Brook.
Anna is the founder of Shala. She has held space for many groups of women over the years as an experienced yoga teacher (since' 13) on regular weekend yoga retreats, in workshops/ classes and teaches a variety of styles of yoga. She runs regular anxiety and stress relief immersions for professionals, teaches on yoga teacher trainings and is a writer for Om Yoga Magazine.
