About Private Hypnobirthing

These 2 x 3 hour sessions are designed for women and their partners, or birth partner (e.g. mum/friend). They are a chance to immerse yourself in preparation for your birth with the person who will be with you there on the day. Hypnobirthing’s huge surge in popularity in recent years is testament to how much it has benefited so many families (testimonials are on the main pregnancy page).


This course offers you a range of techniques and knowledge/wisdom so that you feel at your most empowered and calmly excited for your birth. I teach these methods through practice – feeling these states in the body again and again so you can embody them in the lead up to and during your birth. Women often report back that it is this level of relaxation that they have practiced in the lead up that they feel is a game changer on the day.


I have chosen to teach the Mindful Mamma approach which combines hypnosis techniques with mindfulness and is easily accessible - though my main focus is to tailor the sessions to you.



What Is Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a form of birth education which combines knowledge and techniques from a variety of different areas. It has its roots in science and offers you sound understanding of the process of birth. This is alongside a variety of techniques and practices that include breathing techniques, deep relaxations, visualisations, self hypnosis, affirmations, meditation, and practical exercises with your partner (e.g. massage).

We’ll work on moving past anything which is holding you back and look at ways to create/develop a positive mindset in preparation for your birth. Your birth partner can be so valuable during birthing so they will be offered practical and emotional ways to support you. Doing this preparation together often means couples feel even more bonded and on the same page for their birth.

What Does The Course Involve?

  • A variety of techniques that will support you in your pregnancy and birth - breathing techniques, deep relaxations, hypnosis techniques and exercises to do with your partner.

  • A scientific understanding of the process of birth

  • Consideration of what environment you want to create for your birth and how the right environment can assist your birthing

  • Understanding positioning of the baby and why it matters

  • Natural alternatives to intervention

You are welcome to join from around 22 weeks of pregnancy.
