Shala Mama 

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Our Shala Mama Programme is about offering you a bespoke antenatal programme entirely tailored to you. I wholeheartedly offer you my 10 years of experience in supporting women through pregnancy (and two births/experience of raising children) at this very special and sacred time.


My approach is unique and is drawn from an array of gold standard trainings I have undertaken (you can see my credentials here). Learning about birth, the science behind it, how to work with medical professionals and our mindset, are all fascinating parts of birth preparation, yet I feel that sometimes birth preparation approaches can overlook a vital perspective… deep, visceral connection to our bodies, our instincts, the sensations and how to masterfully work with our breath (that can be a gamechanger in birth) alongside nurturing an instinctive connection to our baby.


The Shala approach is about offering you an empowered and grounding 360 degree of preparation/support in a range of spheres - physically, mentally and emotionally – so that you can wholly embrace your pregnancy, knowing you have immersed yourself in preparation for one of life’s most incredible transitions – matrescence – becoming a mother.

How does the programme run?

You receive 20 hours of support through your pregnancy/postnatal period, and our sessions are adaptable to your needs as your pregnancy progresses. You can find all the types of sessions I offer below. You may like to start with the Hypnobirthing course with your birth partner, then have pregnancy yoga 121s each week. Or a Pregnancy Massage followed by a Mother Blessing ceremony with all your friends.


Perhaps you’d like to save a few hours for your postnatal period and come for a New Mama Ceremony (Closing the Bones) or a Breathwork session to deeply release after birth.


You can choose sessions when you join, or we can simply decide what could be most beneficial to you as we go along. This programme is about a deep listening to what you, your baby and perhaps your birth partner need at this time.


My intention is that you approach your birth feeling calmly confident, feel assured in managing your mindset, understand your options and feel flexible and adaptable to whatever turn your birthing takes – and if you have a birth partner, that you feel on the same page as them. I’ll provide you with a toolkit of practices, knowledge and wisdom to maintain focus, feel more calm and more in control as you go into your birth and prepare to meet your little one.

Your programme can include:

During Pregnancy

  • 2 x Birth Preparation Sessions – Hypnobirthing & Coaching (3 hours sessions)

  • Pregnancy Yoga, Breathwork & Yoga Nidra (1 hr 30 mins)

  • Pregnancy Massage (1 hr 30 mins)

  • Mother Blessing (2 hour session – counts as 4 hours)




  • Closing the Bones Ceremony for New Mothers (2 hrs)

  • Postnatal Essentials Course (2.5 hrs)

  • Breathwork Session (great to release deep held tension) (2 hrs)

  • Celebrating the First Year Ceremony (Breathwork & Massage) – (2 hrs)
